Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording material capable of improving coating properties and ink absorbing properties. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the inkjet recording material which forms an ink receiving layer by coating a substrate with a coating liquid comprising alumina hydrate, polyvinyl alcohol and a crosslinking agent, the coating liquid comprises an organic acid containing a carboxylic group or its salt, and two types of polyvinyl alcohol with a saponification value of ≥95% and another polyvinyl alcohol with a saponification value of <95%.
