PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide folding portable terminal of a new structure improving a conventional folding type, dispensing with the opening of upper and lower units when viewing each kind of display or performing operation corresponding to it, capable of displaying a lot of sentences so that they can be easily read and improving each kind of images so that it can be seen easily, and improving ease of use as compared with a conventional type. SOLUTION: In the folding portable terminal, where first and second units are composed so that they can be opened/closed and rotated via a hinge section, the hinge section includes a first shaft member nearly vertical to the operation surface of the first unit; a second shaft member formed in a direction vertical to the first shaft while being interlocked to the first shaft member; and a hinge unit connected to the second shaft member so that it can be rotated in the opening/closing directions of the second unit.
