Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce beat sound generated when a drum head is beaten and to approximate the feeling of the beat of the drum head to the feeling of the beat of a normal drum head. SOLUTION: Many elastic projections 23 are formed on a surface which is the opposite side of a beat surface 22 of a head body 21 consisting of an elastic material, and a reinforcing plate 25 consisting of a material whose rigidity is higher than that of the head body 21 is arranged over the respective tip surfaces of these elastic projections 23 at least in a prescribed area (the whole area in the shown example) of the surface to constitute the drum head 2.
