Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toner and toner for electrophotography which has excellent fixation, offset resistance, grinding resistance and developing durability even when being used by high speed copy machine. SOLUTION: A crosslinked resin obtained by combining three or more kinds of vinyl polymers which have different molecular weight and functional group content from one another with a specified weight proportion and reacting the combined vinyl polymers with a cross-linking agent is used as the binder resin. The crosslinked resin has a specified gel amount. The toner using the crosslinked resin can provide the electrophotography which has excellent performances of the fixation etc. even when being used by a high speed copy machine and has the satisfactory reproducibility even in the copy machine continuously used for a long time.
