Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bankbook printer which carries out printing on a plurality of types of mediums such as bankbooks and slips, wherein the printer is made compact, drastically improved in printing capability, and reduced in printing noise. SOLUTION: The printer which carries out printing on the plurality of printing mediums, has two upper- and lower-layer carrier paths, for carrying the printing mediums. Specifically the upper-layer carrier path guides the medium to an impact type printing mechanism while the lower-layer carrier path guides the medium to a non-impact type printing mechanism, and both the printing mechanisms carry out printing processing of the printing mediums in parallel with each other.
