Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable digital broadcast receiver system capable of improving the picture quality and the sound quality at the time of switching broadcasting areas by transmitting/receiving the channel selection information without suppressing the broadcasting bands. SOLUTION: A portable digital broadcast receiver terminal 110 receives the terrestrial digital broadcast transmitted form a broadcasting station 120 through a terrestrial digital broadcasting network 510. The terminal 110 communicates with the channel selection information servers 130 and the positional information servers 140 through a mobile communication network 520. The channel selection information servers 130 installed in each broadcasting area which is a broadcasting cover area for instance are devices for providing channel selection information such as a modulation system and the frequency of each channel which are necessary for receiving the broadcast. The positional information servers 140 arranged in each mobile communication cell which is a cover area of a mobile communication base station for instance are device for providing the present positional information of the portable digital broadcast receiver terminal 110.
