Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having high electron transporting property and giving a stable amorphous thin film and provide an organic electroluminescent element stably drivable under a low driving voltage for a long period and produced by using the compound. SOLUTION: The fluorene compound is expressed by general formula (I) (R1and R2are each independently H, a halogen atom, an alkyl, an aralkyl, an alkenyl, a haloalkyl, cyano, an alkoxy, a (substituted)aromatic hydrocarbon ring group or a (substituted) aromatic heterocyclic group; and Ar1and Ar2are each independently a (substituted) nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic group).
