Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to utilize a method for producing -SO2F-containing fluorohalogenoethers, by avoiding use of a catalyst and synthesis of a hypochlorite salt, improving selectivity of a desired compound, and reducing formation of a by-product impossible to be reclaimed. SOLUTION: This method for producing the (per)fluorohalogenoether containing a -SO2F group and having general formula (I): FSO2-R-CF2OCAF-CA'F2(R is a divalent (per)fluorinated, preferably perfuorinated, group which arbitrarily contains one or more oxygens; and A and A' are identical to or different from each other, and are each Cl or Br) comprises treating and reacting a carbonyl compound having formula (II): FSO2-R-COF with fluorine and an olefin compound having formula (III) CAF=CA'F in a liquid phase under a reaction condition of a tempreature of -120 to -20°C, preferably, -100 to -40°C and, if necessary, in the presence of an inert solvent.
