Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal compound having chemical stability, excellent compatibility with another liquid crystal compound, suitable anisotropy of dielectric constant, small optical anisotropy, etc., to provide a liquid crystal composition, and to provide a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal compound is expressed by formula (1) [Ra is a 1-20C alkyl or the like; Rb is a 1-20C alkyl or the like; A1, A2, A3, and A4are each 1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,4-phenylene or the like; Z1, Z2, and Z3are each a single bond, -(CH2)2- or the like, provide that at least one of Z1, Z2, and Z3is expressed by formula (2-1) (Y is a 1-3C alkyl in which H is arbitrarily substituted by F; and o is 0, 1 or 2), formula (2-2) (p is 0, 1 or 2) or formula (2-3) (W is F or H; and q and r is each 0, 1, 2 or 3); and m and n are each 0 or 1].
