Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition which excels in heat resistance and toughness, has such a low viscosity as to enable sufficient impregnation into reinforcing fibers, and gives a fiber-reinforced composite material excellent in heat resistance and mechanical properties such as tensile strength and CAI (compression strength after impact). SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material is composed of (A) an epoxy resin represented by general formula (I) and/or (II) and (B) a polyamine. In formula (I), R1is a 1-4C alkyl group; R2is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a 1-4C alkyl group; and X is a 1-4C alkylene group. In formula (II), R3is a 1-4C alkyl group; and R4is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a 1-4C alkyl group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
