Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel capable of performing a setting operation from a storing position to a photographing position and a zooming operation from the photographing position continuously with a simple configuration, and being miniaturized. SOLUTION: The lens barrel is provided with a male helicoid screw 15b, a projection 15d formed in an area different from the area of the male helicoid screw 15b in the optical axis direction, and a cam groove 15e. The lens barrel is also equipped with a rotary frame 15 that is freely rotatable around the optical axis, a female helicoid screw that, screwed onto the male helicoid screw 15b, moves the rotary frame 15 in the optical axis direction while rotating in the screwed-on state, and a supporting frame having a position-control guide engaging section that, engaged with the projection 15d, controls movement of the rotary frame 15 in the optical axis direction, and that holds the rotary frame 15 so as to allow only the rotation around the optical axis. The rotary frame is moved in the optical axis direction by the helicoid screws to make the lens in a photographing state and in a zoom changing state by the guide engaging section.
