Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure spaces for growing aquatic organisms with a material itself. SOLUTION: This block 10 for growing aquatic organisms comprises porous sulfur-solidified portions 10a, solid sulfur-solidified portions 10b and a concrete portion 10c. The porous sulfur-solidified portions 10a have prescribed spaces d, are formed in a layer-like shape having a prescribed thickness, are disposed on the outsides of six surroundings for forming a hexahedron of block 10, and are disposed on the water-contacting sides of the block 10, when the block 10 for growing the aquatic organisms is set in sea water. The solid sulfur-solidified portions 10b are formed by melting sulfur and then molding only the molten sulfur in a penetrated space-free panel shape having a prescribed thickness. The concrete portion 10c is disposed on the back sides of the solid sulfur-solidified portions 10b, and the four sides of the concrete portion 10c are surrounded with the solid sulfur-solidified portions 10b. When the block 10 for growing the aquatic organisms is set in sea water, the block 10 is kept in a state not contacted with water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
