PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium hydrogen phosphate powder having a smaller ratio of specific surface area to average particle diameter compared with conventional calcium hydrogen phosphate powder, powder for a paste which contains the calcium hydrogen phosphate powder and a method of manufacturing the calcium hydrogen phosphate powder and the like. SOLUTION: The calcium hydrogen phosphate powder has ≤10 μm average particle diameter and an (a) value of ≤10 when the value of the average particle diameter (μm) is expressed by (x), the value of the specific surface area (m2/g) is expressed by (y) and a product of (x) and (y) is expressed by (a). The method of the calcium hydrogen phosphate powder is provided with a slurry preparation process for preparing a mixture containing calcium hydrogen phosphate raw material powder and a solvent having ≥50 dyn/cm surface tension (e.g. water) and pulverizing the calcium hydrogen phosphate raw material powder in the mixture by a pulverizing means (for example, a ball mill) to prepare slurry and a drying process for drying the slurry obtained in the slurry preparation process.
