Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently select a PLMN in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A wireless communication device 10 is equipped with a position information detection part 12, a PLMN selection part 13, a PLMN registration part 14, and a control part 15. It is determined whether a registered PLMN is effective, and when the registered PLMN is not effective, a PLMN, which is close proximity to and selective, is given high priority by using position information on the current position of the device itself as a mobile station detected by the position information detection part 12 to select the PLMN.
