Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement sensing device which can determine validity of a detected value showing distance to an object, so that the influence of noise can be removed, and, e.g., comparatively small movement of the object can be accurately detected. SOLUTION: The movement sensing device 1 is equipped with a distance sensor 11 which detects a distance to the object and outputs a plurality of detected values showing the distance during a first period, an arithmetic unit 22 which obtains an average value of a first value showing dispersion in the first period of the plurality of output detected values and a second value showing dispersion in a second period which is a small period formed by sub-dividing the first period, in the first period, and a determination device 23 which determines validity of the plurality of output detected values, based on the first value and the average value of the second values in the first period.
