Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering unit, on which mounting members can be mounted efficiently and which prevents a decrease in detection accuracy for a rotation angle or the emission of an unusual sound. SOLUTION: The steering unit comprises a rotating shaft 30 connected to a steering member, a protrusion 12, a steering angle sensor 10 arranged on the outside of a housing 32 encircling part of the rotating shaft 30 and detecting a rotation angle of the rotating shaft 30, a bush 42 holding the protrusion 12 in an inner space, and a bracket 40 mounted on the outside of the housing 32. An opening 41 communicating with the inner space is formed on the housing 32 side of the bush 42, which is made of a U-shaped elastic material and has projecting parts forming a gap that is narrower than the width of the bush in the direction where the protrusion 12 crosses the projecting parts.
