Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw which can easily cope with modifications of the pitch diameter, the lead and the stroke amount of a ball rolling slot. SOLUTION: The ball screw includes a ball screw shaft 1 having a structure such that a band member 1B with the ball rolling slot 1A on its outer face is softened by heating so as to be spirally wound around a shank portion RB2 and the inner face of the band member 1B is fixed to the shank portion RB2. Therefore, by changing the thickness T, the width W and the number of winding of the band member 1B, the pitch diameter PD, the lead L and the stroke amount of the ball rolling slot 1A of the ball screw shaft 1 are modified, respectively.
