Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric module which can suppress a thermal loss caused by the convection of an atmospheric gas, can improve a maximum temperature difference ΔTmax as one of the performance indexes of the thermoelectric module, and can facilitate its miniaturization and light weight. SOLUTION: In the thermoelectric module, pseudo electrodes 2e are joined to the outer edges of insulating substrates 1h and 1c as heat radiating and heat absorbing sides. Convection preventing walls 4 are joined to the pseudo electrodes 2e on the heat-radiating-side insulating substrate 1h to surround thermoelectric elements 3e arranged at the outermost sides. A gap is provided between the heat-absorbing-side ends of the walls 4 and the pseudo electrodes 2e formed on the heat-absorbing-side insulating substrate 1c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
