Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially reduce a matrix driving voltage of a display by driving it by inputting scan and data signals in a control element of each pixel. SOLUTION: This field emission display is provided with a cathode plate 100, a gate plate 200, and an anode plate 300. The anode plate 300 has a transparent electrode 320 and a phosphor 330 formed on one region of the transparent electrode, in the upper part of a substrate 310. The cathode plate 100 has a band-shaped matrix signal line enabling a matrix address and a pixel each defined by a row signal line 120S and a column signal line 120D, in the upper part of a substrate 110. This pixel is each provided with a film type field emitter 130 and a control element 140 to control the field emitter. The gate plate 200 has a gate hole 220 and a gate electrode 230 formed around the upper part of the gate hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
