Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber composite cable and a cable specifying method which allow erroneous disconnection to be eliminated by easily and accurately specifying a cable. SOLUTION: The optical fiber composite cable is provided which has a conductor 1, an insulator 2 provided on the conductor 1, a sheath 3 provided on the outside of the insulator 2, and optical fibers provided on the insulator 2 or in the sheath 3 and has optical fibers 4 arranged along the lengthwise direction of the cable, and light is made incident on one ends of optical fibers 4 in the optical fiber composite cable, and the optical fiber composite cable is specified by light emitted from the other ends of optical fibers 4.
