Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector including an electric charge generating film which is stable and has high detection sensitivity and high reliability and is good in production efficiency, and further to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The radiation detector 1 includes an electric charge generation layer 12 on a radiation-electric charge conversion substrate 11 having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, the layer 12 compressed so as to provide a ≥74% volume filling ratio.
