Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component which is mounted with a spectral means and has stable characteristics. SOLUTION: The optical component which spectrally diffracts light inputted from an input-side optical fiber by the spectroscope means and outputs it to an output-side optical fiber has a light absorbing means of transducing light which is not outputted to the output-side optical fiber into heat and absorbing it and a heat radiating means for the heat or guides the light which is not outputted to the output-side optical fiber out of a container storing the spectroscope means to deter the optical component from generating heat, thereby suppressing deterioration and damage of the component due to heat generation and variation of optical characteristics due to temperature variation. Consequently, the optical component can be provided which has high reliability and stable performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
