Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques of avoiding mutual interference of wireless LAN access points. SOLUTION: A wireless LAN access point (10) is provided with antenna systems (1, 21to 26, and 3) having directivities made adjustable, a receiving circuit (4) for receiving radio signals through the antenna systems (1, 21to 26, and 3), and directivity control means (5 to 7) for controlling directivities of the antenna systems (1, 21to 26, and 3) in response to reception levels of beacon signals which are included in received radio signals and are sent from other wireless LAN access points. The wireless LAN access point (10) controls directivities of the antenna systems (1, 21to 26, and 3) in response to reception levels of beacon signals, so that mutual interference of wireless LAN access points can be avoided.
