Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating device discriminating an object to be heated into that made of metal with low resistance like aluminum, that with a load unsuitable for induction heating (small article load or no load), and that made of the other metal. SOLUTION: A control means 44 discriminates the material of the object to be heated 34 into a first material having high resistance, a second material having low resistance, and a third material without load or nearly the same therewith by sweeping a driving frequency from a first frequency to a second frequency which should make the output of an inverter 35 smaller than that of switching elements 32, 37 within variable range of the driving frequency at the frequency of 1/n times a resonance frequency. By this, that they are either of quality of the materials is distinguished. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
