Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolled ferritic stainless steel sheet with such excellent surface properties as to be free from scale remaining on the surface, defects due to falling down of intergranular corrosion grooves, or the like after pickling. SOLUTION: In pickling with a pickling solution comprising a sulfuric acid solution containing an organic compound having a carboxyl group and a S group, the ratio Vs/VFeof the concentration Vs(%) of the organic compound to the Fe ion concentration VFe(g/L) is set at 0.001 or higher and the immersion time, at 30 sec or longer. Thus, the maximum roughness Rmaxon the steel sheet surface is kept at 15 μm or less and the depth d of intergranular corrosion grooves, at 3 μm or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
