Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for recycling removed mud, which can reduce the amount of waste not only by efficiently eliminating gravel and sand from the removed mud but also by surely separating a component, recyclable as a cutting face stabilizer, from the removed mud so as to recover the component. SOLUTION: A jet of treated liquid is emitted to the removed mud by an injection part 5 so that the removed mud can be turned into slurry. Solid contents, which are contained in the slurry, are separated by means of a first upstream sieve shaker 6 and a first downstream sieve shaker 7 of a primary treatment apparatus 2, and a second sieve shaker 11, a concentration type cyclone 13, a classification type cyclone 15 and a third vibration sieve 16 of a secondary treatment apparatus 3. The slurry is circulated through the cyclones 13 and 15 and the vibration sieve 16; the solid contents, which are contained in the slurry discharged as an overflow of the cyclone 15, are set to be only a solid content whose particle diameter is smaller than a fourth particle diameter; and the slurry is supplied to an excavator. The slurry, which is discharged as an overflow from the cyclone 13, is supplied as the treated liquid to the injection part 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
