Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high reliability by continuing network operation without interruption when a failure occurs at a switching hub or a cable constituting a network. SOLUTION: Using a backplane 1 capable of mounting a plurality of servers 21-24 and a plurality of switching hubs 31 and 32, a network is duplicated by mounting bus switches 131-134 on the backplane 1. Accordingly, the network can be duplicated without modification in an existing server, and cost reduction can be attained. In addition, the servers 21-24 are equipped with a plurality of LAN connectors, when a changeover switch is mounted on the backplane 1 in place of the bus switches 131-134. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
