Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron core which does not cause a problem in its characteristics or in its manufacturing method effectively utilizing an electromagnetic steel sheet having a length left short. SOLUTION: A joint electromagnetic steel sheet made by jointing a plurality of electromagnetic steel sheets short in lengths is extended longitudinally, and a jointed electromagnetic steel sheet hoop is formed by winding the extended electromagnetic steel sheet. The electromagnetic steel sheet is pulled out of the core material of the jointed roll electromagnetic hoop, to form a circular core by winding. The circular core is shaped into a rectangle and is annealed to make stress relax, to form an iron core. Three-phase iron core is made by further assembling three iron cores so that their joint parts come to a space section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
