Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a position sensor, etc. when static electricity flows into an accelerator pedal device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a conductive pedal arm 30 having an accelerator pedal 35, resin main bodies 10 and 20 oscillatably supporting the pedal arm 30 and fixed to a conductive vehicle body, a return spring 40 for returning the pedal arm 30 to a rest position, and a magnetic sensor 60 for detecting an angle position of the pedal arm 30. In the main body 10, a grounding route constituted of the pedal arm 30, the return spring 40 and a conductive wire 70, etc. is provided to guide electricity flowing from the outside to the vehicle body. As a result, when static electricity charged to a driver, etc. is transmitted from one's feet to the pedal arm to flow into the main bodies 10 and 20, the electricity is transmitted in the grounding route and flows into the vehicle body to prevent damage of the sensor and other electronic parts, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
