PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp with a case part for housing a lighting circuit for the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp made compact and equipped with an electric circuit having a function other than the lighting circuit. SOLUTION: The lighting circuit of the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp or all or part of electric circuits other than the lighting circuit are provided in parallel at a part pinched between two or more bent light-emitting tubes so as not to expand a case part, and the case housing the circuits is provided with an opening for preventing temperature rise of the electric circuits and in order to have an action of the electric circuits fully exerted.
