Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reserving air tickets via the Internet that allows users on a waiting list to make reservations prior to flight dates by changing air fares in steps, and delivering vacancy information to users on the waiting list each time the fares are changed. SOLUTION: The air ticket reservation system comprises a service provider's terminal device, users' terminal devices, and a reservation intermediation device connected to one another by a communication line. The users are urged to input desired conditions during subscription and thus allowed inclusion on a waiting list for air tickets.
