Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple structure in which a cap can easily be opened or closed as in a conventional cap even if an upper end portion of a straw is jutting out from a bottle such as a PET bottle and the structure is not obstructive even if a straw is not used. SOLUTION: The cap has a projecting portion (4) on the inside of the side of the cap and at the intermediate height of the cap. When the cap is closed, the projecting portion (4) and the opening portion (6) of a bottle come into close contact with each other, thereby pressing the opening portion (6) of the bottle. The projecting portion (4) corresponds to the top of a conventional cap and is a portion that is pressed against the bottle opening portion. However, as far as the cap has a width enabling close contact of it with the opening portion (6) of the bottle, it can be sufficiently pressed. Therefore, the width is decreased and the projection is extended to the top of the cap so as to resist even pressure. Further, the projecting portion (4) that defines a close contact face with respect to the opening (6) of the bottle is located on the inside of the side of the cap and at the middle height of the cap. Defined in the upper portion of the cap is a space for storing an upper end portion of a straw. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
