Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant adhesive film which has superb flame retardancy, adhesive properties and flexibility and also is almost free from the hazard of generating dioxines during combustion, and a flat cable using this film. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant adhesive film has a primer layer and a thermoplastic polyester resin adhesive layer treated to be flame retardant with a brominated aromatic flame retardant and an inorganic filler formed on a polyester film as a solution of the problem. In this case, the thermoplastic polyester resin is preferably a blend of two or three kinds of the thermoplastic polyester resin with different softening temperatures. In addition, the inorganic filler is preferably composed of one kind, two kinds or more selected from among an antimony trioxide, a titanium dioxide, a silicon dioxide and a metallic hydroxide.
