PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling the dust of an electric furnace, which recycles the dust of the electric furnace to turn it into molten steel and slag without discarding the dust of the electric furnace, and concentrates volatile components such as zinc and lead. SOLUTION: This recycling method is characterized by introducing at least the dust of the electric furnace into a steel bath located in and/or under an arc discharge region in an electric furnace, then arc-heating the steel bath, recovering the volatile components, and simultaneously turning the remaining into the molten steel or the slag. An introduction rate for the above electric furnace dust can be 75 kg/minute or less. In addition, the above dust of the electric furnace is preferably introduced for 30 minutes or longer. Furthermore, together with the above dust of the electric furnace, aluminum ash, carbon and the like can be introduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
