Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decimation filter or an interpolation filter having a large block band attenuation using a limited hardware. SOLUTION: Coefficient length in a 1stFIR filter 4-1 at the first stage is set smaller as compared with a normal coefficient length. Regions of insufficient attenuation are concentrated to the vicinity of Nyquist frequency by regulating coefficient setting.
