PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information sharing system and a method whereby those useful contents to be possessed commonly among the contents used by a plurality of users having common purposes and/or interest can be possessed commonly while they are related to a context of communications between users. SOLUTION: A message operation history expressing the history of the operation performed to any message and the contents operation history expressing the history of the operation performed to the contents existing in a plurality of information sources are recorded for each user who has executed these operations. A degree-of-association leadout part leads out the degree of association between messages and the degree of association between one message and the contents by making reference to the message operation history and the contents operation history.
