PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work management system or a work management method for confirming that a person is identical, whether the person is present in a work site, and how long the person stayed at the work site. SOLUTION: In the work information management system 100, a host server 101 is connected through the Internet 104 to a reception server 102 and a portable terminal 103. The host server 101 transmits a password of every worker to the reception server 102. The identification ID of the worker and the password of every worker received by the reception server 102 are sent from the portable terminal 103 to the host server 101. The host server 101 judges whether the sent identification ID and password match a previously stored identification ID and password.
