Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of getting in the way of mounting an expansion joint due to the projection of the tip of a bolt when shortening a distance between flanges 4, 5 in the case of using one bolt and one nut to constitute a limiting mechanism provided not to enlarge a space between both flanges 4, 5 more than the specified distance in the expansion joint 1 provided with both flanges 4, 5 and a bellows tube 6 held between the flanges 4, 5. SOLUTION: In this joint, the limiting means is composed of two bolts 72, 73 and a nut 71 for connecting the tips of both bolts to each other. Consequently, the projecting amount of the heads 72a, 73a does not change even if shortening the distance between the flanges 4, 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
