Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for oxidizing carbon monoxide by which odor components in air are removed, and at the same time, carbon monoxide in the air is positively oxidized at a normal temperature, and the carbon monoxide amount is greatly reduced or removed. SOLUTION: For this oxidizing device 10 for carbon monoxide, an ozone generating means 15 which generates ozone (O3) for deodorizing odor components in air, an ozone decomposing means 24 which generates active oxygen by decomposing generated ozone, and a CO adsorbing means 25 which adsorbs and holds carbon monoxide generated by an incomplete combustion are provided in a ventilation passage 12. The ozone decomposing means 24 and the CO adsorbing means 25 are provided in a common CO oxidizing reaction region B in a manner to be oxidizable carbon monoxide with the active oxygen.
