Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uneven rotation detection device that accurately detects uneven rotation in a photoreceptor drum without requiring any expensive encoders by providing a specific line pattern at the periphery section of a rotor drum (the photoreceptor drum). SOLUTION: The uneven rotation detection device comprises: the photoreceptor drum 1; a lens 2 for imaging in a sensor 3; the sensor 3 for photoelectrically converting an optical image being imaged by the lens 2; a signal processing section 4; an uneven rotation operation section 5 for performing the detection processing of the uneven rotation based on a signal regarding a line pattern being processed at the signal processing section 4 and a pulse outputted from the encoder 9, a control section 6 for rotating and controlling a motor 8 from the calculated result; a driving section 7 for supplying a drive current to the motor 8; the motor 8 that rotates the photoreceptor drum 1; and the encoder 9 that is mounted to the axis center of the motor and generates the pulse according a rotational speed.
