Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the stacking of discharge units is difficult for obtaining an ozonizer of a large capacity, and prescribed performance can not be obtained owing to the change of a void length in a discharge space. SOLUTION: Secondary electrodes with dielectrics 4 closely stuck thereto are arranged on both the sides of a first electrode 2, and further, a spacer 6 is arranged between the first electrode and the dielectric to compose a discharge unit. The space between the secondary electrodes 3 lying back to back in the adjoining discharge units is provided with a gas seal member 73 for preventing the leakage of gas. Further, a gap is provided between the secondary electrode and a gas flow passage, and the gas seal member is arranged at the gap. As the gas seal member, an ozone resistant insulation is used. Alternatively, as the gas seal member, an elastic body is used. Also, an elastic body 73 is provided in the space between the secondary electrodes lying back to back in the adjoining discharge units.
