Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement for concrete which has an excellent dispersibility into a concrete-based material and an excellent reinforcing effect on the material, which does not corrode, which gives a cured concrete body having a stable strength for a long period of time, and which does not float in water, and to provide a concrete using the reinforcement. SOLUTION: The reinforcement for concrete, which contains thermoplastic polyester as a main component and which is extended in the longitudinal direction and has a rectangle sheet-shape with an aspect ratio of 8-100, is obtained.
