Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing in a short process at low cost from an industrial viewpoint an optically active 2,3-epoxypropane derivative as a useful compound in the pharmaceutical/agrochemical fields, especially as a very important intermediate in the production process for new azole-based antimycotic agents. SOLUTION: The method for producing the optically active 2,3-epoxypropane derivative of general formula(6) comprises the following process. An amino acid derivative of general formula(1) as the starting material is reacted with an azoleacetic acid derivative of general formula(2) to form an azole methyl ketone derivative of general formula(3), which is then subjected to stereoselectively carbon atom-increasing reaction with an organometallic reagent of general formula(4) followed by carrying out a cyclization. By this method, the objective optically active 2,3-epoxypropane derivative can be stably produced in a short process at low cost from an industrial viewpoint. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
