Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical pressure-sensitive adhesive tape wherein a soft plastic film, especially, a flexible, moisture-permeable, and finely porous plastic film is defined as a support body, so as to be easily cut by hand when it is applied onto the skin surface of a human body, eliminate a strange feeling such as tension or roughness, and also provide a practically sufficient stretch strength, and to provide a method for producing the adhesive tape. SOLUTION: The medical pressure-sensitive adhesive tape includes an adhesive layer on one surface of the support body being a polyolefin film wherein multiple through-holes serially aligned in the width direction of the film are formed at an interval in the longitudinal direction of the film, and a melting part is formed in the peripheral area of each through-hole. The diameter of the through-hole is 0.05-0.5mm. The diameter of the melting part in the peripheral area of the through-hole is 0.2-0.8mm. The ratio of the diameter (C) in the longitudinal direction of the melting part to the diameter (D) in the width direction is 0.5-0.9. A distance between the melting parts in the width direction is 0.1-0.7mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
