Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate conditions to be used as a light source of a head lamp and a fog lamp than a conventional discharge lamp by increasing the freedom degree of the design of a pinch seal part. SOLUTION: Two metal foils 53 and 54 are so disposed that the surface directions of the respective metal foils 53 and 54 are in parallel to each other. As a result, the pinch seal part 81 can be formed into an arbitrary shape, in this case, into an H-shape. This constitution can increase the freedom degree of the design of the pinch seal part and mitigate the conditions to be used as the light source such as a head lamp and a fog lamp than the conventional discharge lamp.
