Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric mechanism which can realize an increase in operation speed in a sewing machine. SOLUTION: An eccentric 26 and a connecting rod 27 from among members which constitute this eccentric mechanism E of a sewing machine is made of aluminum. As a result, compared with a conventional technique wherein the eccentric and the connecting rod has been constituted of iron or steel, the eccentric mechanism can be made more light while keeping the strength.
