Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication line automatic selection method, a system, etc. which automatically selects an optimum line in accordance with a user's preference such as the quality, the charge, etc. of communication lines for a mobile telephone. SOLUTION: The communication line automatic selection system having a mobile telephone for talking over a plurality of selected public lines comprises a quality condition detecting means 23 for detecting the conditions of information about the talking quality inputted by a user, a present position detecting means 27 for detecting the present position of the mobile telephone, a conditioned line detecting means for detecting the public line meeting the conditions of information about the talking quality corresponding to the present position, and a line setting means 22 for setting a line so that the user can talk by the mobile telephone, using the public line detected by the conditioned line detecting means.
