Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled vacuum cleaner for which cleaning time is efficiently determined without complex controlling. SOLUTION: The main body 1 is equipped with a movement control means which moves and steers the main body 1 by independently rotate and control right and left drive motors 2, 3 and right and left wheels 4, 5, and a cleaning nozzle 8 to clean up a floor surface. The movement control means determines movement time to the completion based on the total movement time until an obstacle detecting means 7 rotates in an arbitrary angle to detect a prescribed number of obstacles.
