Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write protector for a hard disk driver which can put the hard disk driver into a write inhibit state. SOLUTION: A connector 52 connected to the hard disk driver 6 and a connector 51 connected to a personal computer 4 are connected to a changeover means 3. The command signal supplied from the personal computer 4 is monitored in a control section 2 and when a write signal is supplied, the changeover means 3 is changed over to shut off the supply of the write signal to the hard disk driver 6. In the control section 2, another command signal is supplied, in place of the write signal, to the hard disk driver 6 to obstruct the start of the write operation of the hard disk driver 6.
