Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple frequency antenna that is included in the housing of portable radio equipment and can perform diversity receiving. SOLUTION: In this antenna used in the portable radio equipment, a reactive element 4 is loaded on an antenna element 5 (a) so as to divide the linear antenna element 5 (a) in an L-shape, and the antenna element 5 (a) is loadable in the housing 3 of the portable radio equipment. This realizes the multiple frequency antenna, wherein respective bands resonate in a wide band and in two frequency bands or more to obtain a small and inexpensive multiple frequency antenna for portable radio equipment.
